Established in 2014, SKYPOD is a multi award winning boutique hostel in Kota Kinabalu with Pod style bed offering you amazing lodging experience at a truly affordable rate.

A stone's throw away from the Sembulan River Walk and centrally located in the heart of Kota Kinabalu yet away from the hustle and bustle, SKYPOD is within walking distance to Imago Shopping Mall, KK Sentral Bus Terminal and the Waterfront. Jesselton Point, the gateway to the beautiful Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park is merely 10 minutes away. In close proximity to the airport, SKYPOD is also the perfect layover for flight transit, early flight arrival and late departures.

We use premium mattresses and orthopedic pillows to ensure you get a good night's rest after a long day out. Our housekeepers work around the clock to ensure that you enjoy a clean, hygienic and odour free environment. Simple yet hearty breakfast is served every morning to start your day off right. With our signature Pod style bed, now you can enjoy more privacy and personal space than the average hostels so you can truly rest.

Our warm service, clean environment and comfortable beds have been our hallmarks over the years. For solo travellers, our friendly Crew are always on hand 24/7 to assist and accompany you during your stay. A safe haven for female travellers too! For your convenience, tour arrangements, ticketing service and car rental are also available in-house.

***Please note that 'Superior 12 Bed Female Dorm' and 'Superior 12 Bed Mixed Dorm' are Single Pods that can sleep 1 Guest. 'Deluxe 12 Bed Mixed Dorm' are Double Pods that can sleep 2 Guests.


1. Check in from 2pm and check out until 12 noon.
2. Cash (MYR) and PAYPAL are accepted upon arrival.
3. Cancellatin policy:
(1) Any cancellation received within 3 days prior to arrival will incur the first 1 night charge.
(2) Failure to arrive at the hotel will be treated as a No-Show and no refund will be given.
4. Age restriction: Mininum age of guest to stay in 7 years old.
5. Please contact the property ahead of time to make arrangements for check-in.
6. A refundable deposit of MYR 50 in cash is required upon check-in.
7. Airport transfer is available upon request at MYR 30 per trip. Alternatively, you can take a GRAB from the airport for less than MYR 15
8. There is self-service pantry and washing machine in the hostel. Free breakfast and WIFI. Unlimited coffee, tea and drinking water throughout your stay.
