Overview
Previously an old monastery, Euphemia Old City Canal Zone is a laid-back hotel with an ace central location in Amsterdam. To start your day, you can grab an à la carte breakfast for just a few Euros. There's also a vending machine, so you can get snacks and hot drinks throughout the day. Our lounge is open from 08.00 AM through to 11.00 PM, so you can drop in and meet other travellers, watch TV or make the most of our free Wi-Fi. If you fancy exploring the city on pedals, we'd be happy to sort out your bike hire. There's bike parking right outside the hostel.

Location
We're close to the city’s main attractions, including the Heineken brewery and museum quarter (not to be missed) and Leidseplein square, as well as the Anne Frank House. Even though we're near to some of the city's best nightspots, we’re based down a quiet side street, so your sleep shouldn't be disturbed by noise. To get to the hostel from the airport, take the train to Amsterdam Central station and from there Metro # 52 and get off at the Wijzelgracht. The Fokke Simonszstraat is on the left side of the street. Alternatively Bus 397 from the airport will bring you to the Rijksmuseum from there it is 10 Minutes walk

Rooms
You’ll find we have variously sized private rooms. They're set over four floors (no lift) All the rooms have private bathrooms, all 2 and 3 person rooms have towels in the room, 4 and 5 person rooms can rent a towel at reception for €1,-

Extras and activities
You'll find plenty of handy extras like adapters, If you fancy some downtime, help yourself from our book exchange. When you're heading off on the next leg of your travels, we’ll be happy to store your luggage before your flight.

Hostel Conditions:
Credit cards:
Please make sure your credit card have enough found to cover the full reservation cost or the authorization. If we don't manage to charge or authorize the credit card, the reservation may be cancelled, you can pay at the hotel with debit cards, but We don't accept any types of debit/VISA debit for online reservations
The credit card used for the reservation and the cardholder must be present at arrival, if not we may cancel the credit card charge, and you will need to pay in cash or other present card.
we also may require security deposit during the stay €.50,- to €.100,-
There is a 5% surcharge if paying with a credit/debit card at the hotel.

Non-refundable rate reservations:
We will charge the given credit card the full amount when the reservation is made minus the commission paid to HostelWorld plus city tax and tourist fee(€3, per person per night)
For cancellation or changes before or after arrival and no show, there is NO refund

Standard rate reservations:
We will authorize the given credit card for the total room price minus the commission paid to HostelWorld, the City tax (%7) and Tourist Fee (€3, per person per night) is NOT included in our rates and shall be added to the room price upon arrival.
Authorization means that we ask the credit card company to block an amount on your credit card (normally equal to the cancellation fee).
This amount is normally valid for few weeks, thereafter it is automatically released back into your account (depending on the credit card company and the country), at arrival you can use this authorization as part of the payment, we have no control over the release process.
For cancellations, please send email to the hotel 48 hours before arrival date and not arrival time.
Failure to do so will result in a 100% charge of the total amount. Cancellations and changes on and after the arrival date will be charged 100%.

Groups:
No Parties! STAG/HEN/BACHELOR PARTY GROUPS are not allowed, this type of reservation will be rejected.
Group reservation (10 person or more) we have different policies and additional supplements.

Non Smoking!
At the Euphemia smoking or vaping is NOT allowed anywhere! Smoking in the Euphemia, activated the smoke alarm or any other damage or covering the smoke detector etc will result in a charge of €.100,

Check-in
Check in is possible only from 08.00 am to 23.00 pm, rooms are available from 14.00 pm.
If you arrive early, we have a storage room. If your arrival is after 23.00 pm, please contact us and inform us to arrange an after-hours entry.
At check in we will give you key cards for the room, €.10,- deposit is required per key card.

Check-out:
Reception is open at 08.00AM for check out, if you need to check out before 08.00AM please arrange it the night before until 22.30PM.
Check out time is at 10 am. Extension will be given depending on the availability. Failure to vacate the room will result in management having the right to remove the guest and his/her belongings from the room occupied by the guest and charge extra costs as the room price for the day.

Guest’s Belongings:
Guests are particularly requested to lock the door of their rooms when leaving the room. For the convenience of the guest, lockers are provided in the room. It is highly recommended to store all valuable belongings in the safe deposit at the reception. The management will not, in any way whatsoever, be responsible for any loss/or damage to the guest’s belongings, any other property from either the hotel room or the locker or any other part of the hotel for any cause whatsoever.

Damage to Property:
The guest will be held responsible for any loss or damage to hotel property caused by themselves, their guests or any person for whom they are responsible.

Management’s Rights:
It is agreed that the guest will conduct him/herself in a respectable manner and will not cause any nuisance or annoyance within the hotel premise. No parties of any kind, including sleepovers, are permitted in the hotel.
