Murchison Backpackers is a social hostel that is perfectly located in the heart of Masindi district, a central town where many of Ugandan's tourist attractions are within close reach. If you are looking to meet fellow travellers from all around the world, or simply want to stay comfortably in a hostel with character and several options for accommodation, tours, and activities, come and join us!

We run an eco-hostel and campsite, ideal for nature enthusiasts. We've maintained a minimalist vibe and added a local African touch to our spaces in and outside the property.

Murchison Backpackers is located in the Western Region of Uganda. Situated along Masindi-Kampala main road and 20 minutes from the famous Murchison Falls National Park. The hostel is a short ride to the centre of Masindi town where you can tour the local town or buy supplies and is perfectly located to explore and get lost in the Wildlife of Western Uganda.
