Hostel ignored two emails I sent after having an issue with payments. They still hadnâ€™t replied to me until the day I was meant to be staying there. I tried to find somewhere else but it was Mardi Gras and every single place was booked up, so ended up having to go there anyway. The building was completely empty and no one answered the doorbell, or the phone. Had to pay huge amounts once we eventually found somewhere else to stay. Avoid at all costs

Site 61 was a nice time:) Cass at reception was the best and so helpful! It was cool to stay in a historic house that survived Hurricane Katrina (you can even see the waterline on the wood). The location is not safe to walk outside around at night and itâ€™s not located in a very fun/cool area. As a solo female traveler, I ended up ubering most places, especially at night. I loved the back patio and the tall ceilings of the old house!

I really advice this hostel. I had a great experience thanks to the owner and the guys/girls met there! The room are comfortable and clean. The hostel inside is really nice and weâ€™ll organized, youâ€™re gonna love itâ€™s worldâ€™s map!
