Hafaldan HI Hostel is located in the towns centre in the historic old hospital. The building has been under constant renovation for the last few years and is without a doubt one of Iceland’s most charming hostels with beautiful interior design and attention to detail.
The hostel offers great common facilities, self-catering kitchen with everything needed for preparing a good meal. The newest pride is the little 'SPA' where guests can enjoy a sauna and relax after a busy day of sightseeing. Free to use for everyone staying in the hostel.

Sustainable hostelling has always been a cornerstone in the hostel's practices, led by Hostelling International who have been pioneers and led the way around the world in that field. A charging station for cars is available at site, all garbage possible is recycled & the aim is to end every season with planting trees to meet the carbon footprint created.

The hostel offers a variety of different rooms both with private & shared bathroom and is ideal for families, couples, group of friends or individual travelers who prefer the classic dorm bed.
