We are located in Santiago de Queretaro in the historic center. It is without a doubt a privileged location because of it's proximity to historic squares, museums and the touristic circuits that allow the travelers to easily get in contact with the cultural and commercial life.
Being located in a historic pedestrian street, the nocturnal atmosphere is very interesting and quiet for travelers when it's time to get some rest.
The house where our hostel is located is a colonial house. Because of it's open architecture, the big spaces are very pleasant and friendly.

Great rooftop, a little bit cold

The location is good on a beautiful street with a few bars and restaurants . The hostel is nice and clean. The owners and the stuff were very nice and helpful. However, the noise is almost unbearable. And it is not noise from the street, it is from inside the hostel. If you have any interest in sleeping past 7 am, it is imposible. Families with kids get up early and start screaming and playing all over place without regard for others. The fuzz ball table is noisy all Day/night.

We enjoyed the stay at El Petate. The location is super good and the room was very clean.
The rooftop was also very nice, great for some chillout-time.
Also the staff was very helpful and friendly! We had a small situation with one of the other hostel guests,
but the staff handled everything very good and helped us handling the situation. It was a good experience with this hostel.
