YHA Wanaka

Lively, cosy, and comfortable with stunning views out to Lake Wanaka and the mountains, YHA Wanaka is an incredibly popular hostel year-round. Our relaxed, welcoming vibe and open plan living/dining area.

Our excellent communal facilities include several communal areas to relax in, plus a roaring log fire, pool table, reading area, balcony, and movie room. We're on hand to help you make the most of your time in Wanaka and can offer a free travel and activity booking service.

Our Front Desk hours are 9 am to 5 pm.
Check-in is from 2 pm onwards.
If you are arriving earlier you're welcome to store your luggage and hang out with us in our communal areas. Free WiFi, tea, and coffee! We recommend booking the night prior if you are arriving in the early morning, please check availability and amend your booking online.

If you are arriving after our Front Desk is closed, no problem! We will send you self-check-in information on the day of your arrival, or alternatively, we have a Night Manager who will be here to help you.
We do offer luggage storage (free of charge) on site, please ask our friendly staff at the hostel.

Our hostel is strictly non-smoking.

The guest can cancel free of charge until 1 day before arrival. The guest will be charged the cost of the first night if they cancel within 1 day before arrival.
