The famous Maracana Stadium is just round the corner, as we are located less than 100 meters from this world famous football ground. Taking a walk or having a drink in a bohemian cafe at Boulevard 28 de Setembro you will see the chords and lyrics of Noel Rosa’s famous sambas built on the sidewalks.

Avoid like the plague. In a heatwave, at 40 degrees they still refused to put the air conditioning on during the day. So everybody in the hostel was very uncomfortable. The sofas are horrid. They gave me a key to the building that did t work. No locker space and the rooms are very small

There were mice in the hostel, it was boiling hot and the a/c hours were very short. Every couch was discusting with no back cushion, only wood 🥴. The neighborhood is not ideal, only stay there if you REALLY want to save money and you standarts are low.

This hostel is 1 of the worst I’ve ever stayed in. It is in desperate need of a renovation and some attention. The mattress, sheets and pillows are disgusting, so old and all stained. Very dirty and poor quality toilet and showers and nowhere near enough. AC only on 10pm-6am, then very hot dorm after that. 10-bed dorm extremely small, no space for my bag. Very poor quality kitchen in desperate need of some new equipment and some normal size coffee cups. Definitely book somewhere else!!
