Casa de Gio is an authentic Nicaraguan accommodation lodge, which is fully open to the travellers and guests that are visiting Ometepe Island. We have a vast experience in the tourist sect as well as a full knowledge about the island. In addition, it is quite easy to visit the whole island by car or scooter, so you will be able to capitalize our time with us and in Ometepe Island.
We are located in the town of Moyogalpa, one of the northernmost points in Ometepe Island. From our facilities you can reach some of the finest and most relevant landmarks and attractions of the island such as Volcán Concepción, Punta Jesús María and Playa San Fernando.
We have several types of accommodation to satisfy the needs and wishes of diverse kind of travellers and guests. In this sense, we have a mixed dorm for six people that will suit for the most venturesome travellers, meanwhile for those people seeking for a relaxed experience we have a double bed room ideal for couples. In addition, we have several common areas and a nice backyard and porche where the guests and travellers can meet each other and exchange past experiences and future plans.

Very clean, nice staff, great value for money. My only comment (which was out of the hostels control) is that I did not feel very safe walking to the hostel as a solo female traveller which is the reason I left a night early. Otherwise I would recommend to friends travelling together or couples!

Our stay at Casa Gio was decent. The staff helped us to set up a solid tour guide for Concepcion (although more expensive than friends paid at other hostels) and an excellent motorbike. The kitchen was good but often messy, and the "drinking water" was filtered from the tap (smelled and tasted not great). It was hot in the room and costed more than double to turn the AC on ($18USD up to $40USD per day) - crazy! Vibes were weird and definitely not social.

had such a nice stay. the beds are comfy and there were plenty of fans. not the most social but was good for one night.
