숙소 정보
Our unique hostel is a renovated 100 year old colonial house, naturally cool with an added cooling air system. We have a large wooded garden frequented by monkeys, animals, birds, and geckos. We serve excellent food, offer excellent group tours (daily), group safaris (Mon, Weds, Fri, +1 and have good local knowledge/ Our cookery classes ($12.50 pp for 4 people) have you cooking on traditional wood fires. We can arrange basket weaving at the hostel, and pottery, and wood carving. We never add taxes or service charge, the only hotel/ hostel I know of in Sri Lanka that does not. Standard room costs are without Breakfast and WiFi.

A rundown house, run by a paranoid ('I don't trust people'), emotionally unstable sc***er, who'll angrily slap a 10% service fee on the price for 'All my advice and no one buys me a beer'. A lack of privacy - He asked that I leave my window shades open for ventilation and leave the key in my door when I went out, and zero other guests (Many reviewers were alone too), the dirty linen, the cobwebs, the dogs barging in, a 'free' room upgrade negated by the 10% fee, and here's a place to 100% avoid.

Would definitely recommend a stay here, the owner Paul is so lovely and is able to help you out and recommend what to do while in Anuradhapura.

Had a wonderful stay at Fig & Gecko. Paul, the owner, is fantastic. Warm and welcoming, lots of stories to share and great recommendations on things to do and see around the city (and sri lanka more broadly). Breakfast and dinner were also home cooked and delicious. Took the cooking class with the hostel and made the most delicious sri lankan meal. The showers could be cleaner but otherwise no complaints! Would stay here again!
