White Jail @ Koh Tao Hostel has a nice, friendly, quiet atmosphere in a good central location in Mea Haad. Only 3 min walk from the pier and next to the Baby Rasta Carbar. The beach is around 3 min walk from our hostel. You also find several mini-markets, restaurants and shopping areas around our hostel. From 1932 - 1943 Koh Tao was used as a political prison. The prison was located in Mea Haad where our hostel is located now. Nowadays Koh Tao is a tourist destination for people all around the world. Perfect for all kind of activities such as diving, snorkeling, hiking, rock climbing or hanging out with friends. The beaches around Koh Tao are stunning and you will enjoy the parties at the beaches.

Brilliant hostel, made life so easy! Hire a bike from the hostel at fair prices, access to a microwave, fridge and kettle in your room, balcony, daily clean and replenish of water and toilet paper! Music from bar next door can be heard but not too late or loud. The tap smelt like eggs occasionally but nothing too bad. This is a home away from home!

Was okay at best, needed a hostel near the pier which is what this was, woke up with mosquitoes everywhere and bitten to shreds so make sure you spray, also the check out time of 10.30 was ridiculous, they were making my bed for the next client at 10am I whilst having a shower, very pushy to get you out the door when leaving, overall not the best hostel in Ko Tao, but easy access to the pier if you have a morning ferry
