Chicago Getaway Hostel was rated the 4th Best Extra Large Hostel in the World in 2011 Hoscars and the 7th in 2013, it’s not difficult to see why. This bright, airy, spacious and modern hostel has recently remodeled dorms with a lamp and outlet for each bed and has a new color scheme identifying with their social, sophisticated, savvy motto. It’s located a short walk from the lake and just 10 minutes from Fullerton subway station connecting directly to the downtown area. We like their friendly staff, who are knowledgeable about Chicago and organise daily activities and night events.

Chicago Getaway Hostel is located in the heart of the Windy City's chic Lincoln Park neighborhood. Our hostel features 119 rooms and accommodates up to 459 guests. We have a variety of accommodations from mixed dorm rooms with shared bathrooms or intimate private rooms, many with full, half or shared bathrooms.
Our hostel serves complimentary breakfast which features a cereal bar, fresh fruit, oatmeal and coffee. Our restaurant grade kitchen features all the tools you'd need to make a gourmet meal. We offer a great atmosphere and are happy to recommend a host of activities at our hostel or steps from our doors.
The hostel is within walking distance of the best restaurants, pubs, and music venues in Lincoln Park. Our neighborhood is home to the historic Lincoln Park Zoo, DePaul University and North Avenue Beach. In addition, our hostel is near public transportation connecting you to the best Chicago attractions. Our team is happy to sell tickets to Chicago's hottest attractions like the Skydeck, The Field Museum and the John Hancock Observatory.

- Payment is collected in full at check-in
- Taxes of 17.4% will be added to the "due at arrival" fee on your confirmation.
- We have a maximum stay of 7 nights.

시카고정중앙에서 지하철타고 15분쯤가서 5분정도 천천히걷다보면 호스텔이똭~!!! 들어가서 직원의 친절한설명에 각국에서 놀러온 친구들과 대화하고 재밋게즐기다갑니다~ 아주 좋아요 벌써 또 가고싶네요

위치빼고 전부 최고인 호스텔
사실 위치도 엄청 나쁜곳은 아님 다운타운에서 밤에 버스타면 길도안막혀서 20분이면 도착함 그리고 주변이 주택가라 저렴하게 밥먹을곳도 많고 한식당도있음
다시온다면 하이호스텔보다 여기올것임 시설은 최고 조식도 맛있고 스탭 친절도도 최상임 매일 수건주고 불편사항있으면 다들어주고 동양계 스탭도 있어서 한국인이라고하니 더욱 반겨줌

위치상 다운타운과 조금 떨어져있어 데이패스를 구매하는 것이 이득일 것 같습니다. 1층에 유일하게 있는 여성용 화장실 및 샤워실은 방문을 포함해 문 네 개를 거쳐야할 정도로 멀었고, 제가 느끼기에 2층 남자분들이 마음만 먹으면 갈 수 있을 같이 보안이 허술했습니다(방 출입시에는 카드키를 이용하기 때문에 안전합니다). 이것만 제외하면 조식, 청결, 직원들의 친절함 등 좋았습니다.

I think we offer some great extras to our guests, like our continental buffet breakfast, which includes coffee, fresh fruit, cereal, breakfast breads and more. We also offer discounted museum and attraction tickets, bike rentals, and daily social events. We also give you a bonus of one free meal weekly. In the summer it's a BBQ and in winter a warm meal.
What a lot of people don't know about our hostel is that it was originally built in 1928 as part of the Eleanor Foundation in order to provide affordable housing for women coming into the city and entering the workforce. Nearly 84 years later, we're still offering affordable lodging in an amazing and historic neighbourhood.
In my opinion, there's three places that you can't leave Chicago Getaway Hostel without checking out. The first is Kingston Mines a legendary Blues bar located a few blocks away. Secondly, you can't leave Chicago without trying Lou Malnati's deep dish pizza. Thirdly, you haven't lived until you've had a Chicago hot dog from Chicago's Dog House. These three places will make your trip unforgettable.
