The Hotel Luz is centrally located in the heart of Downtown San Francisco, only four short blocks away from Fabulous shopping in the high fashion Department and Specialty stores of World famous Union Square, and surrounded by Restaurants featuring a myriad of cuisines from the world over in every style.
We highly recommend using public transit while visiting the City. San Francisco is a very small city by any standard, and parking is always at a premium, and very expensive. The Luz is conveniently adjacent to major city Bus (MUNI) transit lines #38, #27, and #19, all of which connect to Market Street, Downtown’s Main Thoroughfare. Fares are very reasonable, with day, week, and month passes available at a discount.
The hotel offer different variety of room to suit everyone's' needs. Free wi-fi for everyone. Laundry facility on the premises. Information is always available from our friendly, helpful staff!

The staff was very nice, pleasant and helpful. I wish I was able to stay longer but the neighborhood is really dirty, there’s a lot of trash on the sidewalk and I wouldn’t feel comfortable staying outside at night. There’s also a lot of homeless people that make you feel bad for them and wonder why in a rich country like ours we have homeless people?
I was surprised to see big difference after walking 2 blocks away where you see open stores and restaurants.

The hotel is in a fantastic central location, with clean beds, good wifi and incredibly accommodating staff!! Great value for money in expensive San fran area.
