I stayed in a private room this time so my experience may have been different in a shared room but I was impressed overall with my stay at the Lombardy. My room was clean, and the staff were mostly friendly. There is a cafe attached to the hostel that serves breakfast and lunch. The food there is good and reasonably priced. The location is good within walking distance to the beach. Just note that this is on North Beach NOT on South Beach but you can easily get there by trolley, taxi, etc.

I booked this hostel as the Flying Pig was too expensive but I think I was far more impressed than I would have been there in a 40 bed room. The room here was only 8 beds, had a bathroom with shower only shared by people in your room. Room and bathroom were very clean. Location was close to everything!! Only downfall is that if you are checking out early you need to do it the night before. I forgot to before passing out (I mean its Amsterdam so I was pretty high haha) so I lost my key deposit.

This is one of the best hostels I stayed at in Europe. Sure it is not fancy but that is clearly stated on the listing and the email confirmation. There is no elevator but that was fine with me. I thought it was a great value for the money. It's a very charming old building and the room I stayed in was very cozy. Clean sheets and towels as you need them and the breakfast was excellent! I have not had a better breakfast in any of the hostels I stayed in across Europe. The location is great too!
Thanks forthe best hostel in Europe : a great value for money, in a charming old building, with cozy dorms, clean facilities + an excellent free early french breakfast in the 1st and the best located hostel of Paris, managed by the 1st non profit youth hostelling organisation in Paris, to get a cheap bed with simple and basic facilities + a free early french breakfast on a stunning location, in the 1st and the best district of Paris, a street closed to Louvre Museum... Hope to see you soon !

Very nice hostel in Barcelona! Located right near las ramblas, it is a great location. Very clean, free wifi, and a decent free breakfast. Staff were friendly except I was yelled at (in Spanish and I don't speak Spanish at all) by the woman running the breakfast. I guess you are not supposed to go in the kitchen even though the coffee and juice were set up in there. They serve you and the food is self-serve.

If you can, find another hostel. There were no lockers available which really concerned me in leaving my stuff behind. There was a free breakfast but it was off-site and confusing to find. Very basic facilities but at least it was clean.

Overall, this is a pretty nice place to stay. I did initially have a little difficulty as the woman at the desk only spoke Italian (I only speak English and French). But she was able to find someone else who knew English. It was a little hard to find as it is actually called the Koala Hostel (this should be fixed on here to avoid confusion) and the location was hard to find with the way the streets are in Milan (not the hostel's fault of course!) The breakfast was nice and the hostel was clean!

This was the first hostel I had ever stayed in and it was quite an enjoyable experience! I met very nice travelers and hung out at the rooftop bar. The breakfast wasn't free, but was cheap and very well worth it. Wifi worked very well and was free. The staff were very nice and helpful. If you're going to Berlin, this is the place to stay!!
