The worst hostel in the world. Managing system is a big problem. In order to save hostel managing salary, this hostel uses free labor force(Free guest, no good). Grotesk facilities: 1. Very old bed and sheet, 2. so many mosquitos- I attacked from mosquitos at night 50 spots in my feet, hands, legs, neck, face. As a result I was seriously wounded for about 10 days, so my round the world trip went to hell. 3. dining room ceiling glasses are brocken-Rain drops to tables and floor.
I´m so sorry that you did not enjoy your stay at Rayuela. As you can see from all of our other comments most guests rate Rayuela as one of their favourite hostels. I appreciate your comments as we are always trying to improve the hostel to ensure that all guests enjoy their stay in BsAs to the maximum. However I think it is highly inappropriate that you have written some of these comments considering you behaviour during your stay. Over the course of three days/nights the manager spoke with you on numerous occasions regarding (i) your frequent snide and obnoxious comments to other guests staff, (ii) you generally creepy mannerisms toward female guests, and (iii) the fequent noise that you found it acceptable (the other guests didnt) from 4 to 7am every morning. Clearly after 3 days of this, and your behaviour not improving we were not going to permit you to extend your stay and it was only right (for all of the other guests) that you were asked to leave. As for your comments: (i) We are a small hostel with a maximum capacity of 24 guests. In total we have 4 full-time paid staff. That is one staff member for every 6 guests!!! However, yes, we also supplement our paid staff with volunteers. This is very common in South America, and as you can see from the other comments they are all wonderful members of the team and highly appreciated by all. Furthermore, all are long term and know the city very well and can provide a fantastic experience for all of our guests. Perhaps you might have enjoyed things more if you had wanted to speak with people, socialise, etc, rather than (ii) All beds are less than one year old and sheets are replaced frequently. Im sorry that you did not think that yours were of an appropriate standard... all you needed to do was ask for a replacement and we would have been happy to help you out. (iii) Unfortunately BsAs (actually all of the Rio Plata) experienced a previously unheard of "plague" of mosquitos during early May. There was no avoiding them from Montevideo to Mar Del Plata. But they have gone now :D (iv)By Dinning room I assume that you mean our patio. And by patio I will assume our outside patio! As that is the only room in the hostel with a glass roof! There are many other places to eat that are not partially outside (perhaps this is a good place to refer back to your previous comment about mosquitos...), but never-the-less thank you for highlighting this and I will ensure it is fixed asap.
